Uncle Buck is one of the longest established short term lenders in the UK.  It is an online solution lending new customers up to £400 and existing customers, who have a repayment record with the lender, up to £1,000, all subject to status and affordability.

Objectives

Uncle Buck was looking for a new provider to help with its affordability evaluation, credit assessment and provide an anti-fraud solution.

Solution

Callcredit’s CallValidate product was recommended as it would help Uncle Buck to detect and prevent fraud and assist in meeting Anti-Money Laundering Regulations amongst other benefits.
To extend Uncle Buck’s affordability requirements Callcredit’s Affordability Report was provided.  This allowed Uncle Buck to seamlessly process new applications, help to validate affordability and income and provide the lender with much more detailed information to enhance their lending decisions.

Results

Thanks to Callcredit Uncle Buck has been able to meet regulatory requirements and continue to uphold responsible lending practices.  In addition Uncle Buck is working closely with Callcredit in the development of Callcredit’s new real time data sharing initiative - MODA.
