What is Gauge?

Gauge is a series of credit risk scores developed exclusively for Callcredit by DecisionMetrics, building on the wealth of experience they have of developing scorecards for the UK financial services market.

The combination of DecisionMetrics' expertise in the use of credit reference agency data and Callcredit's ground breaking public and shared account performance data have combined to produce a set of market leading scores.

The two separate suites of scores addressing account origination and account management offer superior levels of discrimination by fully leveraging the unique datasets available from Callcredit's consumer database.

Why Gauge?

Gauge provides lenders with a fast, objective and consistent measurement of the credit risk associated with each consumer, based on information contained in their credit report.

Gauge enables lenders and other users to better understand the likely future payment performance of their customers or prospects and therefore to make more informed decisions. Gauge can be integrated within automated and manual credit decision processes.

Gauge can be used to support consumer credit application decisions and review existing credit accounts for overdraft limit management, credit card limit changes, further product credit granting, collections decisions and to support marketing activity.
