Information Commissioner's Office

The Information Commissioner enforces and oversees the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA) and the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOI). The Commissioner is a UK independent supervisory authority reporting directly to the UK Parliament and has an international role as well as a national one. The current Information Commissioner is Richard Thomas. If a consumer has a complaint regarding the use of their personal data they can report this to the Information Commissioners Office.
