County Court Judgment

A CCJ is the successful result of a civil action brought by a creditor, in a county Court, against a debtor. The County Court has adjudged that the monies are legally due, enabling the creditor to use various remedies (such as sending in the bailiffs) if so desired. See Decree for the Scottish Equivalent.
