Callcredit for consumers

Callcredit provides you with the ability to obtain your credit report and statutory credit report. We hold data from various sources, and banks and other lending organisations use this information as part of their process for assessing credit applications whether it be a mortgage, personal loan, credit card or mobile phone.

For this reason, it is important that consumers regularly check their report to ensure the information on it is accurate, particularly if you are considering applying for credit. It is also the only place where you can see all of your financial commitments in one snap-shot, making it an invaluable reference to how much you owe on your entire account portfolio.

Our data is dynamic, and is usually amended on a monthly basis by financial institutions to ensure that you are always in possession of the most accurate and up-to-date picture of your finances. And, if you find anything incorrect on your credit report, we work quickly with the organisation that reported the data to put things right.

Your credit report can be a useful tool when you understand it:

Credit Rating: Understanding how lending decisions are made is an important part of everyday life. Your credit status is built from the history of all your financial accounts and the public information held about you. To maintain a good credit rating it is important to pay your bills on time, even if it's only the minimum payment, and make sure the information on your credit report is accurate.

Your credit score shows you how well your overall credit report ranks against the general population. Our online service Callcredit Check provides you with a free credit score each month for the first three months. Go to www.callcreditcheck.com now.

Identity Theft: You can detect the first signs of identity theft if you regularly check your credit report. Callcredit Check, our online credit report service, will send you an email alert when there is a key change to your report. If it is a suspicious address change or new account, we will help you to stop the fraud in its tracks. Go to www.callcreditcheck.com now.
